Although it’s terribly hard to choose, if I had to pick my favorite character from The Vampire Diaries universe, I would pick Carolne Forbes. Caroline Forbes is a main character of the show that sticks around until the last season. The reason why I love Caroline the most is because her character arc is arguably the best in the show. When first introduced as the main character’s friend, Caroline is insecure, competitive, and self-involved. Throughout the show we see her gain confidence and navigate some comical high school drama amidst all the supernatural occurrences around her. I always found it funny that someone has just been bitten by a werewolf meanwhile Caroline is worried about the school dance. By the end of the show, Caroline is quite empowered and one of the saner characters. To add, the actress of Caroline, Candince King, is super cool and has maintained a lighthearted and interesting social media presence with her fans and friends of the show.
